Our history
Our passion, born of a heritage
Our roots at Domaine de La Presle are the fruit of 3 centuries of uninterrupted family history.
The Patissier - Pommier - Leschenault du Villard - Hotelans family is driven by a constant desire to be enterprising, to enhance the natural and architectural heritage and to innovate to ensure that this heritage lives on.
Buildings that bear witness to time
The buildings of Domaine de La Presle are an exceptional example of sharecropping in the Beaujolais region in the 18th and 19th centuries. Located in the heart of the vineyards, they have become the guardians and shelters for generations of winegrowers.
Supported by the Fondation du Patrimoine and recognised by the Maisons Paysannes de France association, major restoration work was undertaken between 2020 and 2022 to restore the original character of the buildings: natural lime rendering, restoration of the masonry and renovation of the traditional canal tile roof.
Our ambition, looking to the future
We want to continue the family adventure and reveal the greatness of the terroir. We love this rich, unspoilt natural setting. We are attached to these buildings, witnesses to the generations that have gone before us. We are sensitive to the fragile balance of the terroir, concerned about its preservation and resolutely committed to an environmental approach (HVE 3).
